Almost forgot. Today’s the first day of fall!!
Sorry to all you fans of summer, but I am glad. I just can’t take too much of the heat and humidity of summer. And it is not like I am in a big hurry to get to winter. I wish it could be fall weather all year round, with the occasional day in the high 70′s / low 80′s.
There is a really cool ARTICLE on ESPN’s web site. It was written by Scott Burnside who is based out of Atlanta, but is a huge hockey fan and writes mostly about hockey.
The article points out that in the face of some major retirements this year (Messier, Stevens, Damphousse, Francis, MacInnis, etc.) Stevie-Y decided to come back. Why? Because unlike most of those guys listed here, he still plays a big role on his team, and still has much to offer his team.
Not ready to hang from the rafters of The Joe just yet.
