This afternoon (after finishing “Paper Crown”) I finished watching the fourth season of BBC sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf.

It continues to get better and better. This season was a few steps better then the three previous (which kept improving). The stories, though sometime getting more “out there” are also getting funnier. And the relationships between the characters are getting more and more defined.

This afternoon I finished reading “Paper Crown” by Jim Peterson. (Don’t worry folks, it was short …… it is not like all I do is read.) This was his debut novel after publishing some collections of poems. One of those collections, his fourth titled “The Owning Stone”, won the The Benjamin Saltman Award. I had mentioned a few weeks ago that I had met Jim at a baseball game in Lynchburg, Virginia while visiting my relatives. He is a colleague of my Aunt Ann’s at Randolph-Macon...

Thanks to the internet, it is very easy to set up Baby Pools. And since they are fun, and Marcia wanted to start one, I set one up this morning.
If you want to join the fun head over to ExpectNet.Com. From the front page, there will be a box at the top of the left purple menu bar saying that you can go to an already listed game. In the box enter NigelRowan exactly like that. It is case sensitive, and they don’t allow spaces. After that, in the middle near the right, there will be a pink/peach box that says “Enter a Guess.” Click that and enter the information.
