Over 72 hours later, and TigerDirect still had not told me anything. Must still be “INVESTIGATING” the missing processor. So I called them this afternoon. I had been contacted by the people living at the other address, and they have not seen it. Wanted to let them know that, and remind them that it was now three days later and I had found out more then they had. I was prepared to tell TigerDirect to give me back my money and I would take my business elsewhere.
I had to wait about 20 minutes on hold before I finally got to talk to someone. So I explained my situation to the customer service rep. And what did she do? She IMMEDIATELY canceled the previous order and opened an order for a new processor. She also told the shipping department to send it NEXT DAY via UPS. (Of course they are going through an overhaul on their computer network and it is delaying all orders.)
I am still not happy with TigerDirect. If it wasn’t for my insistence in calling them, and letting them know what had happened, they would probably still be in the dark. But thanks to Alicia at extension 5419, Marcia and I will have another processor on the way soon. I am still not holding my breath though.

Points to the rep for doing her job. I still think that purchasing from them in the future is over. They have lost my business.

Isn’t it funny how you can get totally different service from reps who have the same job, same position, and same resources. I have made most of my recent computer related purchases at a store called Microcenter. They have both a website and stores. There is one in your state not sure how close it is to you. It is located at:
550 East Lancaster Avenue
(in St. Davids Square)
St. Davids, PA 19087
The website gives directions from Philly airport. The site is microcenter.com. They have some great deals sometimes. I got Dad and Jenn a wireless router and USB network card for her desktop. After rebates and in store savings there total was about 20 bucks. Not bad for over $100 dollars worth of stuff. Good luck with the computer, isn’t technology great.

Yeah David, I am done with TigerDirect, too.
Thanks for the tip Todd. There store is about 20 minutes from our place.
I have been “hating” it more then loving it more recently Cody.

[…] Back on Thursday, I finally seemed to get through and have the processor resent, after TD’s typo that sent the first replacement to the wrong address. The customer service rep said they would send it Next Day via UPS, but it could take 48 hours before it ships. It showed up this morning. From the time the email confirmation showed up, it was less then 24 hours to get to the house. But the problem was that it took 4 business days (96 hours) to finally ship. […]
