!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In an UNBELIEVABLE move by Bobby Clarke, the Flyers have signed Peter Forsberg, according to this ARTICLE. I also saw it on Comcast SportsNite. It puts the Flyers over the salary cap, but the rumor is that it will change, since Jeremy Roenick is to be traded to the Los Angeles Kings.
For those of you that don’t know, Forsberg was originally drafted by the Flyers. He was then traded to Quebec for Eric Lindros. The trade, though decimating the Flyers roster at the time, eventually was a good move for both teams. Obviously though Forsberg was the better player in the long run. He probably was the best all-around player in the world a few years ago, but still even through injuries still one of the most dangerous players on the ice.
Still can’t believe it. The Flyers keep getting better on paper.

Certainly does look like he’s wearing a Flyers jersey. Wonder if that was taken at the time of the press conference, or if it was somebody’s graphic work.
Yes Dad, I know the game is played on the ice. That’s why I said it. It appears that the Flyers were really good shape with the salary cap, and yet they have made moves that have made them better. It helps though that they have a good portion of younger, talented players that don’t make that much.
