Flyers Sign Four Players Idle Mid-Week Ramblings

Don’t hang “19″ from the rafters of the Joe yet!

According to this quick little BLURB from the Detroit Free Press web site, Steve Yzerman will return to the Detroit Red Wings for one more year.

I am sure I’m not the only Wings fan that is estatic about this. It would be shame to see Stevie’s final moments of NHL hockey be the bonecrushing puck he took to the face and the bloody mess it left during the playoffs against Calgary. This way he will have a chance to go out with some dignity. Plus the team could probably use his leadership for one more season, given the changes in the locker room. On top of that, he will be adding to his streak of the longest running captain in the history of the game, now being 19 seasons.
