It appears that when the NHL returns to action, there will be a new coach behind the Detroit Red Wings bench. According to an ARTICLE on TSN’s web site (the Canadian version of ESPN), and later also showing up on the Detroit Free Press web site in this ARTICLE, the Wings are not going to renew Dave Lewis’ contract, and will probably hire Mike Babcock, who recently turned down a contract extension from the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

This move, if it happens, surprises me. But when I think about it, then it doesn’t. I figured they would give Lewis another year or two to get things...

Marcia and I had David, Catherine, and Lyric over for dinner last night. This evolved from David having time to put in the new motherboard. It only took him about 20 minutes, compared to the 45 to 60 that he originally estimated. But it didn’t fix the problem. It appears to be the processor. So another call to TigerDirect must be made. Hopefully the turn around won’t take as long this time.

We headed over to Pinball Parlour after. We met up with Andy and Yvonne. Had a good time as usual. And played rather well on some of the pinball games. The driving game (they have video games, too) that Marcia and I usually dual with was another story. After the games, we made...
