Yesterday I finished “Royal Assassin” by Robin Hobb. This is the second book of the “Farseer” trilogy, featuring her very popular character FitzChivalry.

Unlike the first book, this one left questions. There was a lot happening that leaves you wanting to find out what the outcome will be. The biggest being the lead character himself. He is left in a position that will make it tough for him to be seen. But still it was a very good book.

Fitz, as I mentioned before, and can be seen in the title, is the King’s assassin. During the time of this story, he is in his late teens. As this story goes though, he is becomes more involved in the royal courts. His friendships and alliances push him in places that he is not even sure is best for him. Also added to the mix is a love interest from his past. But one that he is not allowed to pursue openly.

Again, Robin Hobb delivers a good book throughout. Though I have found myself drifting with this one near the end. I think that can be accounted to listening to an audio book that has really grabbed me. To help with this, I am going to finish the audio book first, and also read something else before reading the last book of the trilogy.
