The past two weeks the AFL has been playing Week 13. It is what they call a split round, meaning that every team gets one of the two weeks off. So it took me two weeks to lose one game. Guess that is an improvement of sorts.

My team though is 2-2 in the last four weeks, which is an improvement over losing 8 in a row. This week though should be better. I have three new players due to the waiver draft. And all of them would have out scored my best player. One of them would be the second highest scorer in our fantasy league had he been taken and used every week. To finish off the big movie weekend for Marcia and I, we finished watching “Troy” last night. This is the famous movie flop (from what I heard) based on Homer’s “The Iliad” about the fall of Troy.

I have never read the “The Iliad”, and I am sure I wouldn’t understand anyway. Though I am familiar with some of the story. Some of you may know it, too. But for the heck of it, I will go through it quickly.

Yesterday afternoon, Marcia and myself, along with our friend Andy, saw “Batman Begins”. This is the latest movie of the “Caped Crusader” to hit the big screen.

First and foremost to know is that I have not read the comic books. My only knowledge of Batman comes from Adam West, and the other movies. That’s how it was when I saw the first movie starring Michael Keaton as Batman. I really enjoyed that movie. Tim Burton went with a more realistic (at the time) feel to it.
