“The Aviator” Wimbledon’s First Big Upset
Jun 21

So far the first round has not seen any MAJOR upsets. Many players have their first round match today. But there were a few seeded players that lost their first round match yesterday. The most poignant was probably Mariano Puerta of Argentina, seeded 16th in the tourney, ranked 9th in the World. He had a typical Wimbledon outing for a French Open finalist. On the women’s side, 10th seeded Patty Schnyder of Switzerland lost her first round match.

Give it time, I believe Tim Henman is about to go out in the first round, unless he can pull something special out of his hat, ala his match with Richard Kracjcek (sp) many years ago!!

OK, he just came back from 2 sets down, so this should be interesting!!

Wow, Henin Hardenne out? What the hell happened there?

Pleased to see that Henman turned his fortunes around, he’s gonna have to improve big time after that rubbish display!

I think Henman was just feeling jittery. I am sure he will settle down.

As for Justine, I am speechless. Can’t believe she lost in the 1st round.
