Yesterday afternoon Marcia and I went to what appears to be the only theater in our area still showing “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” to watch it. It was one of those movies that I didn’t want to miss. Being one of the most highly regarded sci-fi books is one reason. But unlike the abomination “I, Robot”, this one featured a script that was co-written by the author of the book. This time being the last Douglas Adams who died in 2001 at the age of 49.

Because of other commitments (meaning church), I only got to watch the fourth and final set of the French Open mens’ championship. The Spanish, teenage sensation Rafael Nadal defeated Argentina’s Mariano Puerta 6-7 (6), 6-3, 6-1, 7-5.
What I saw of the match, Nadal looks to be the next wave of great tennis players. He has risen fast up the world rankings, reaching number two going into the French. After beating world number one Roger Federer in the semis, he will move closer to overtaking Federer and grabbing the number one spot. And he’s only 19!
He is tall, has a wicked though weird looking forehand, an excellent backhand, and can cover the whole court. One of his quotes after the match was, “I...
