Marcia and I had originally wanted to wait to know the gender of the baby at the time of the birth. We both liked the idea of being traditionalists. But this past weekend while shopping we started to realize something. The kid is going to get nothing but yellow clothes and/or things at a shower!
So Marcia and I have decided that when given the chance we will opt to find out the gender before hand. Besides, it might just make things overall easier in the long run.
For the curious, yes we have names already picked out.
If it’s a boy: Nigel Rowan
If it’s a girl: Rebecca Kathleen (using Becca)

Hey Scott, when me and the Tall Guy, finally get pregnant, we’re gonna definitely find out the sex of the baby prior to arrival, I need to know what colour to decorate the room for God’s sakes, and I hate yellow, so that’s a no-no!!
Is Nigel somebody in particular, or do you just like the name. Becca is getting really popular these days!

Nigel is somethng that we both like. Marcia was the one that suggested it. And I think it has something to do with one of the former members of the King’s Singers, a vocal group that started out of King’s College in the early 70’s. As for me, Nigel Mansell was one of my favorite Formula One drivers. Rowan is mostly based from Rowan Atkinson. We are both fans of British comedy.
We have noticed that Becca is getting popular. Kind of disappointed us, but we are sticking with it.
