OK, I know David is going to laugh at me for this post. But I am having fun with my “new toy” so to speak.
I had mentioned a while back in another post that I had joined a couple of fantasy league through a sports logo forum. Given my interest in “obscure sports” it should not have surprise anyone that knows me that one was an Australian rule football fantasy league based of the AFL. The league started three weeks ago and has been rather fun. (I really wish ESPN would broadcast AFL games again.) My team is doing OK. I have three players in the top ten scorers of the real league. One of them has been our fantasy league’s player of the week for two weeks running. But my team overall is lagging, only having won one of the first three games.
Here are the standings (or ladder as they call it Down Under):
| Edmonton Bombers | ||||||||
| Sidney FarmBoys | ||||||||
| West Indian Warriors | ||||||||
| Como RiverDragons | ||||||||
| Napa Valley Cardinals | ||||||||
| NOLA Storm | ||||||||
| Terminus Centurions | ||||||||
| Old Essendon Stallions | ||||||||
| Philadelphia Freedom | ||||||||
| Casey Power | ||||||||
| Minnesota Hawks | ||||||||
| Toronto Lakers | ||||||||
As you can see, I am in 9th place. It does make me feel a little better knowing that the guy that runs the league, who is from Australia, and a big fan of Aussie rules is down in 10th place. Of course the season is 20 weeks long so anything can happen.
(OK David, any other cool code things that I can learn?)
