This afternoon I finished “The Great American Novel” by Philip Roth. Yes, you read that correctly. The book is calling itself the best. And that’s not the only thing it calls itself.

So what is the “great American novel” about? It’s about conspiracies. It’s about Communism. It’s about capitalism. It’s about watching America and it’s citizens getting the wool pulled over their eyes, and even when they see it happening, it looks like it’s for the best.
