The rumors that I have heard and read about indicate that both sides of the NHL labor dispute have taken their proposals and deals off the table. So that means that the owners are again demanding a linkage between revenues and player salaries. They are also demanding a salary cap below $40 million. That also means that the players are not going to accept a salary cap.

So what’s the point of the last week? If it was acceptable three days ago, why the Hell isn’t it now?! Though to defend one side, whoever pulled their deal first and said they are back at square one, I understand the other side saying, “Then we are pulling our deals off the table, too.”
