Yesterday afternoon, before our realtor came over I managed to finish book 2 of the “Liveship Traders” trilogy called “Mad Ship” by Robin Hobb.

The book continues to be character driven. The most of the main characters are the Vestrit family and their liveship the Vivacia. But as the story goes, not only do you have more and more happening to the family members, you also have ties to the famed pirate Kennit, and hints of ties between the River Wild, the sea serpents, and liveships themselves and/or the wizardwood they are made of.

All of us ventured over to Paula and Rick’s place in Bethlehem last night for Pizza Night. Like usual, good food, good conversation, all with good friends. Oh, and family, too. ; )
Their son Ryan is really starting to grow lately (which of course was going to happen). And he now can hold up his head by himself. Also he is really beginning to pay attention to things going on around him. And obviously focus much better. You can make funny faces or do other things to get him to smile. But you can also do it from farther away. He was very intent on watching the pizzas get made, and often was smiling at Catherine and Paula and they did things to get that response.
