MSU Wins GLI
OK, so this is old news, but my sister Jenn sent me a cool picture. My favorite college hockey team, Michigan State, won the 40th annual Great Lakes Invitational. This is a four team tournament held between Christmas and New Years at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. It is co-hosted by Michigan Tech and Michigan (though Tech was the original and only host for a while, but U-M has been in every year since 1974). Michigan State has been invited every year since 1979. The fourth team is usually one of the top 10 teams in college. This year it was New Hampshire.

Anyway, this year MSU won again. In overtime! What is significant about the fact that they won, and my sister was there ……. and...
