I saw the orthopedic surgeon yesterday. This is about 6 months and one week from tearing my Achilles tendon. And after this long healing period, the aided walking devices are done! WOO HOO!!

The doctor said I am healed enough to walk again with a regular shoe. So the brace came off for good yesterday afternoon. Though the healing will still continue. The process is at least 12 months. So most physical activity is still out. Like tennis. (Anything involving running, jumping, quick side to side movements or lunges.) But he said biking and swimming are OK to participate in. Which will be nice, since I have a stationary bike that I can use.
