This was another CD that I purchased through gifts that I received for my birthday. They are an electronica project from Michigan, and are a trio of sorts. Officially documented as Kevin Hayes, with Kirk Marrison and Clark Rehberg.

I got this from Amazon.Com as well, and was a little miffed about it. It was $10.99, and it’s an EP! Only 31 minutes long. (I didn’t know that when ordering.) It didn’t help that I got an Autechre double CD release for $14.99 in the same order. But my frustration quickly washed away when I started listening to it. What a fantastic album!

They remind me a bit of the Icelandic electronica/ambient/pop project...

One of my birthday gifts turned out to be the CD “Tri Repetae++” by electronica project Autechre. For the record, the two “plus” symbols in the title are not a typos, and the image below for the album cover is correct. Strange name and very minimalistic artwork.

The project is the brainchild of Rob Brown and Sean Booth of England. And from what I have been told, the pronunciation of the project name is awe-TEK-er. “Tri Repetae++” is the project’s third full length CD (they have released many EP’s).
