Yesterday I saw the surgeon who operated on my torn Achilles. He took off the second plaster cast and examined things. He said everything looked good. Though I saw no visible improvement from the incision myself. It looked as it did when he first examined it three weeks ago. But I am relying on that fact that he has been doing this for almost 20 years and knows what he is looking at.

After taking off the cast and doing the quick examination, he had me stretch the ligament by pulling my foot up, or bringing the toes up. The foot in it’s natural position is somewhere between being very pointed and being perpendicular to the leg. So he had me try to bring my foot back up to that perpendicular position.
