I have changed midstream again on books. I got into the first 50 pages of “Sabriel” by Garth Nix, and it just wasn’t grabbing me. It is listed as a “young adult” novel, but it seems complex enough to hold appeal to adults. Many have said as much. But after reading Guy Gavriel Kay, it seemed weak. I will try it later.

So I have moved onto “Sea Dragon Heir” which is Book 1 of “The Chronicles of Magravandias” by Storm Constantine. It has rather gothic overtones from what I have heard. And though I try not to put too much in what other authors supposedly “say” about a book, this series comes with recommendations from Neil Gaiman. Now some of these comments sometimes...

The World’s number 1 and 2 tennis players squared off again, just a month after facing each other in the Wimbledon Finals. Roddick was defending his Canada Masters’ title from last year when he beat Federer. On the other side, Federer was trying to complete an astonishing triple that was last accomplished by Bjorn Borg in 1979. That is to win three straight titles on three different surfaces (grass, clay, hardcourt). Borg’s consisted of Wimbledon and the Canada Masters as well.

The first set was on serve for the first 11 games, though both players had to pull some tricks to keep it that way. Especially Federer who was down 0-40...

Been a long time since I have gotten out and did anything, other than a couple of Pizza Nights. Marcia and I, along with her sister Paula, her sister Catherine, and our friend (and Catherine’s boyfriend) David headed over to the Bethlehem Brew Works for dinner last night. It is in downtown Bethlehem (as you probably already figured out) and usually does a booming business. The food there is always good to great, as well as the beer. Last night I stuck with their Zomerbier, which is one of their summer seasonal brews. The discription is as follows:
